The order of the stores in the hunt is out! If your shop is participating in the SL Discovery Grid Wide hunt, please go to the following URL and check your store number. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p2EgrNhfeskorNnf5de9-Ug Once you find your store number, go to the past notices from yesterday (April 22) in the group notices and look for the MASTER MAGNIFYING GLASS attachment. This has all of the landmarks in it for the hunt, and they are numbered. Rez the magnifying glass and open the contents by touching it. Save the notecards to your inventory. Once saved, find the notecard with your store number in it. Drag the landmark AFTER your landmark to a folder in your inventory. Once you have the landmark after yours in your inventory, please place your magnifying glass out for the walkthrough that starts today. Here are some answers to questions we've received about the hunt items. Please check our FAQs to find answers to questions not listed here. I can't copy the landmark from the notecard to my magnifying glass! What do I do? You must first copy the landmark to your inventory. Drag it from the notecard to your "landmarks" folder of your inventory. This may take a moment to register in your inventory. Once you see it, close the notecard and you can drag the landmark from your inventory to your hunt item. When I unselect "For Sale" it puts it back to 10L in the for sale area (even though its greyed out), is that ok? Yes, just make sure when the hunt starts to change it back to 0L$. My Magnifying glass is No Modify! How can I add my landmark? The magnifying glass that was sent out yesterday is the MASTER LIST MAGNIFYING GLASS. Please *do not* use that magnifying glass to hide your hunt item. We made it big and no mod on purpose so that you wouldn't hide it. Please use the magnifying glass in the Vendor Prep-Package sent out to the group on April 19th. That magnifying glass is Mod/Trans/No Copy. When I change the name of my hunt item, there are four (4) # signs. Do I keep one? Yes. For instance, if your store number is 1, please label your item SLD Hunt #001 Magnifying Glass. This is to help hunters maintain their inventory. If you don't label it this way, you risk your item being lost in someone's massive inventory! Do I have to have my gift in the hunt item for the walkthrough?! Its not ready yet!!!
No, your gift does not need to be ready for the walkthrough, but we will still need your hunt item to be out!! If you'd like, you can place an empty box inside your hunt item, but this is not necessary. You WILL need to have the next landmark in y our hunt item.
If we're rezzing our hunt items for the walkthough, does this mean the hunt starts as soon as our item is checked?
No. Rezzing your hunt item allows us to check that it is set up properly. Please do not set your item for sale until April 30th. ALL ITEMS MUST BE REZZED AND FOR SALE BY 12:01AM SLT MAY 1, 2009.
When is the walkthrough?
The walkthrough starts on April 23, 2009 What do I have to have done for the walkthrough?
For the walkthrough, please ensure you have done the following: - - Rezz the magnifying glass
- - Place it next to your hunt sign. You can hide it after the walkthrough, but please make it easy for the walkthrough testers J
- - Place the next landmark in your magnifying glass (The landmark AFTER you shop in the list as described above)
- - Set it for sale for 0L$
- - Select "Give Contents"
- - Unselect "For Sale" (So your item is all set up, but not available yet)
- - If you are a large store (1/4 sim or bigger or you have more than 2 floors), please rezz a hint sign and configure it with something other than the default message. This will let us know that you are aware you need a sign, and that you understand how to use it.
- - That's it!
What will the checkers be checking for during the walkthrough? They will be checking for the following things: - - That you have the magnifying glass rezzed
- - That it is set to "Give Contents" (even though its grayed out as it's not for sale)
- - That you have the next landmark in the glass.
- - That you have a hint sign rezzed if you're a larger shop.
I have to change my landmark! What do I do??? If you have to change your landmark, you have two options: - a) Contact the hunt organizers with a new landmark (in a notecard labeled SL DISCOVERY LM UPDATE - MY STORE NAME) so that we can contact the store owner before you to update the LM.
- b) Contact the store before you, and provide them with an updated landmark. Please label the landmark SLD Hunt #### - My Store Name.
I checked the landmark after mine and it drops me in (the air, the water, someone's home etc..). What do I do? If the landmark after yours does not appear to be correct, you have two options: - a) Contact the hunt organizers and ask for an updated landmark. We will then contact the store after you and obtain a verified and updated landmark to give to you.
- b) Contact the store owner after you and ask for an updated landmark. Before you put it in your object, please check it, and ensure it is properly labeled (SLD Hunt #### - The Store Name After Me.)
